MISSION & Goals
APEX was founded by John Myers — a competitive pickleball player who has been part of the sport’s rapid rise in Australia and globally.
Before pickleball, John represented Australia in futsal as a goalkeeper, competing internationally and experiencing firsthand the growth of a sport with massive participation, energy, and global appeal, but limited pathways for athletes to reach their full potential.
He saw the same pattern emerging in pickleball.
APEX was created to change that.
Built as a development platform, APEX exists to support players, coaches, and the wider community — helping athletes progress, removing barriers, and creating opportunities to build sustainable pathways in the sport.
For John, APEX is more than a project.
It’s a commitment to giving back — helping people build better lives through sport, for themselves and for others.
MISSION AND Goals
We aim to be the high tide that lifts all boats. We are committed to growing the pickleball community by creating a structured pathway for elite athletes.
We support our players at every stage, walking the journey with them as they work toward becoming full-time, self-sustaining professionals.
We also develop the whole athlete, building mindset, discipline, and life skills both on and off the court.
